Linda Yaccarino sent a memo to employees of X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday about Elon Musk's interview with Andrew Ross Sorkin. She characterized the interview as "candid" and "profound". During the interview, Musk had accused advertisers of trying to "blackmail" him by pulling ads from his platform in response to a social media post accusing "Jewish communities" of pushing "hatred against whites". The comments led to condemnation from the White House. Musk denied he is antisemitic and apologized for his posts, calling it “one of the most foolish if not the most foolish things I’ve ever done on the platform". In the memo, Yaccarino told employees that the X owner “shared an unmatched and completely unvarnished perspective and vision for the future” and urged them to take the time to understand the importance of the mission. She reminded them that their mission is to create an open platform without censorship of thought, and that no amount of money will compromise their principles. She ended the memo with “As always, if you need me – I'm here.”Watch: Elon Musk to advertisers who are trying to "blackmail" him. Go f--- yourself.
