Investor's Argument for Necessity of FTC's Regulatory Action Against Amazon for Future Innovation

The business community at large is likely to express their disapproval of any measures taken by the government against Big Tech. Nevertheless, Bradley Tusk, a venture capitalist, believes that the FTC and similar bodies are, in fact, promoting progress by imposing limitations on Amazon and other large organizations. He argues that "if the established rules are not followed, then there would be no point in investing in the future market". His fund, Tusk Venture Partners, typically focuses on investing in seed and Series A stage startups, many of which are in highly regulated fields. He believes that should the FTC's lawsuit against Amazon be successful, it could open up new investment opportunities and level the playing field for upstart companies competing with the tech giants.
