At midday trading, a few companies have made headlines. Alcoa saw its stocks slip 5% after the announcement of William Oplinger as its new CEO and board of director member, succeeding Roy Harvey. Nio had its U.S.-traded stocks dip 1%, contradicting media reports of a possible $3 billion capital raise. Li Auto's stocks fell 9% with Huawei launching its first two electric cars. GE HealthCare Technologies' stocks rose 3%, following the cash dividend of 3 cents per share for the third quarter being announced. Williams-Sonoma jumped 9% after Green Equity Investors revealed its passive 5% stake. Dow Inc. added 2% with JPMorgan upgrading the petrochemicals company to overweight from neutral. On the other hand, Opendoor Technologies saw its shares decrease 6% as Citi dropped its target price. JD.com was 2% lower due to economic concerns. Sealed Air increased 2.7%, with Citi upgrading it to buy. Chefs' Warehouse rose 1%, with UBS initiating coverage at a buy. Lastly, Hudson Technologies had Canaccord Genuity initiate coverage at a buy rating, leading to its stocks rising 4%.
